Admission Criteria for Integrated Graduation Program in Music / Dance / Kirtan / Theater (NEP)
1. Bachelor of Arts – Music (Gurukul System)

- This is a Four-year full-time professional course. Candidates who have cleared 12th Std. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent matching credentials are eligible.
- Applicants are required to successfully clear an intensive structural audition test evaluate by a panel of eminent masters.
- This course layout is strictly structured for advanced practitioners, not beginners. Preliminary training is mandatory.
- Vocal Streams: Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of at least three Ragas and display performance control across a Chhota Khayal composition built with complete Alap and Taan parameters, or a structured Dhrupad Vistar layout for 10 minutes.
- Instrumental (Non-Percussion): Candidates should comfortably execute a Madhya Laya Gat or customized Bandish with Alap/Taan layers spanning a minimum duration of 10 minutes across their chosen classical instrument.
- Instrumental (Percussion): Candidates must have explicit practical clarity across a minimum of two separate Talas. Evaluation tracks comprehensive execution parameters across standard solo performance layouts (Kayada, Paran, Rela, Tukada) along with foundational accompaniment timing for 10 minutes.
2. Bachelor of Arts – Dance (Gurukul System)

- This is a Four year full time course. Any student after passing 12th std. HSC can apply for the course.
- The candidate has to undergo a audition test before a panel of eminent scholars from the field of Dance.
- This course is not for beginners. Candidates should have basic training in the field of performing arts.
- Bharatanatyam: Presentation of a solo piece spanning 10 minutes with sharp artistic visibility focused across Nritta and Abhinaya components (Tracking structural compositions like Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Kautukam, or Shloka).
- Kathak: Structural command over at least two distinct Taals. Performance presentation for 10 minutes mapping out structured layers of Vandana, Gatbhav, Thumri, Toda, and Tukada metrics.
- Sattriya: Fluid presentation execution of Krishna Nritya / Nadubhangi and traditional Vandana segments. Candidates must display concrete background clarity across fundamental Mati-Akhara movement units.
3. Bachelor of Arts – Kirtan (Gurukul System)

- Naradiya: Candidate should know at least one Abhanaga, Ovi etc. and he / she should be able to speak on any topic related to kirtan.
- Varakari: Candidate should know at least one Abhanaga, Ovi etc and he / she should be able to speak on any topic related to kirtan.
4. Bachelor of Arts – Theater

- Four-year full-time system requiring high-tier theatrical aptitude.
- The candidate has to undergo a audition test before a panel of eminent scholars from the field of Theater.
- This course is not for beginners. Candidates should have basic training in the field of performing arts (Theater)
- Previous experience in the field of theatre is requisite, encompassing active participation in various capacities such as acting, directing, Script Writing or backstage roles in a minimum of 4 theatrical productions or presentations.

Post - Graduation Program: Minimum Mandatory Experience (Music / Dance/ Theater)
1. Master of Arts – Music (Gurukul System)

- This is a Two year full time course. Any student after passing graduation examination or equivalent examination from a recognized University can apply for the Program.
- The candidate has to undergo an audition test before a panel of eminent scholars from the field of Music.
- This program is not for beginners. Candidates should have good knowledge of the field in which he / she is applying.
- Vocal: Candidate should know Seven Ragas. Candidate should be able sing Khayal (Wilambit and Drut) or Dhrupad with its proper elaboration in any one Raga by playing his / her own Tanpura for 15 mins.
- Instrumentalists (Non-Percussion): (Harmonium, Flute, Santoor, Sarod, Shehnai, Sundri, Sarangi, Sitar and Violin.)Nine streams are available for this course. Candidate should know Seven Ragas and should be able to play Masitkhani and Razakhani Gat or Bandish (Wilambit and Drut) in any one Raga for 15 Min.
- Instrumentalists (Percussion): Candidate should know five Taals, components of solo playing and accompaniment. Candidate should be able to play one Taal including Peshkar / Prastar, Kayada, Paran, Rela Tukda, chakradhar etc for 15 mins..
2. Master of Arts – Dance (Gurukul System)

- This is a Two year full time course. Any student after passing graduation examination or equivalent examination from a recognized University can apply for the Program.
- The candidate has to undergo an audition test before a panel of eminent scholars from the field of Music.
- This program is not for beginners. Candidates should have good knowledge of the field in which he / she is applying.
- Bharatanatyam Portfolio: Candidate should be able to perform solo Bharatnatyam with focus on Koutukam, Padam, Varnam, Tillana for 15 Mins.
- Kathak Portfolio: Candidate should know at least Three different Taals, Candidate should be able to perform solo Kathak for 15 Mins showing Vandana, Gatbhav, Tatkar, with its specialities, Layakari, Farmaishi Chakradhar, Paran, Thumari, Toda, Tukfa etc.
- Sattriya Portfolio: Presentation of 15 mins - ( Vandana, Shuddh Nritta (Ramdani) and Abhinaya, Candidate should be able to recite the composition of Tala in Hands, should know the meaning of Words of Abhinaya piece)
3. Master of Arts – Theater

- This is a Two-year full-time course. Any student after passed the graduation examination or equivalent examination from a recognised University can apply for the Program.
- The candidate has to undergo an audition test before a panel of eminent scholars from the field of Theatre.
- Previous experience in the field of theatre is requisite, encompassing active participation in various capacities such as acting, directing, Script Writing or backstage roles in a minimum of 4 theatrical productions or presentations.
- Candidates are required to provide documentary evidence of their involvement, which may include photographs, advertisements, brochures, newspaper clippings, participation certificates, and other pertinent materials to substantiate their experience.
- A student who has completed his graduate degree in the stream other than the Theatre and who wish to apply for Master Degree, then he / she will have to do a Bridge Year Course. After completing the Bridge Year, he / she will be allowed to take admission to 1st semester of 1st Year Master Degree.
- Perform a scene or monologue from a play of your choice, ensuring that it is one in which you have not previously acted. (Duration – Max 7 mins)
- Enact a monologuefrom the booklet given by the collag . (Duration – Max 7 mins)
- Each monologue must be of different Genre.
- Perform a poem of your choosing.
- Sing a song of your choice in tune.
- General Knowledge of theatre, contemporary theatre and theatre terminologies.
